We are now re-named "Victor & Catherine Briggs Foundation" (Previous name: Victor Briggs Foundation)
A statement to all esteemed leaders in the corridors of power and at the helm of affairs who swore an oath to serve every Nigerian citizen at the federal, state and local levels.
Nigeria has the largest economy in Africa, with a GDP amounting to approximately 477 billion dollars in 2022. By virtue of this fact alone, no Nigerian child should have to go to bed hungry as opposed to the actuality of more than 60% of Nigerians considering themselves underprivileged and economically disadvantaged.
What are some things you can do:
Among other things,
1) Create jobs, establish industries, economic opportunities and employment avenues that target the lower socioeconomic class and has the ability to tilt citizens beyond the poverty line.
2) Subsidize 50% or more of tuition fees for all state and federal tertiary institutions as education is by far the most powerful weapon which you can use to change, transform and empower the society.
3) Prohibit and sanction institutional corruption and discrimination.
4) Establish a sustainable, incorruptible welfare support system for low-income households.
5) Enact an adaptive minimum wage legislative policy that makes stipulated minimum wage competitively commensurate with trends in cost of living.
